Heaven's
Grocery Store
I was
walking down life's highway, In long gone days of yore.
One day,
I saw a sign that read, this is, Heaven's Grocery Store.
As I got a little closer, the door, Came open wide.
And when I came unto myself, I was standing inside.
I saw a host of angels they were, Standing everywhere,
One handed me a basket, And said, "My child shop
with care."
Everything a Child of God needed was, In that grocery
store and all you,
Could not carry, you'd come , Back the next day for more.
First, I got some patience, Love, Was in the selfsame row.
Farther down was,
Understanding, you'd need that , Where're you go.
I got a box of Wisdom, And a bag or two of Faith,
I couldn't miss the Holy Ghost, For He was everyplace.
I stopped to get some Strength & Courage, To help me
run this race,
By then my basket was getting full, But I recalled I
needed Grace.
I didn't forget Salvation, for Salvation is for free,
so I tried to get enough of that to save for you and me.
Then I started for the counter, to pay my grocery bill,
I thought I had enough of everything to do my Master's
will.
As I went up the aisle I saw Prayer and just had to put
that in,
For I knew that when I went outside I wound run into sin.
Peace & Joy were plentiful, they were on the very
last shelf,
Songs and Praises were hanging near so I just helped
myself.
Then I said to the Angel, "How much do I owe?"
He just smiled at me and said, "Take them where e're
you go."
Again I smiled and said, "What do I really owe?"
The angel smiled at me
And said, "My child, Jesus paid you bill a long,
long time ago."
